COMPANY DETAILS

The company is part of the Caparo Group, a private, diversified, UK based group, specialising principally in the manufacture and supply of steel and engineering products.

The group was founded in 1968 by Lord Paul; it is managed and wholly owned by the Paul family, has an annual turnover in excess of one billion Euros and employs over 4200 people world wide.

Clydesdale Forge has, for over 60 years, specialised in the production of high quality ferrous and non ferrous forgings.
As a trading division of Caparo Engineering Ltd, Clydesdale has built an excellent reputation as a closed die forging company, providing a high level of service, delivery and quality to world class customers within the commercial vehicle, off highway and petrochemical sectors.

There is a total workforce of 290 employees in two forging sites: One in Dudley, West Midlands and one in Hartlepool, in the North-East of England. Turnover exceeds ?30 millionn with 30% originating from export markets.

The company's goal is to meet the needs of its customers by providing high quality, low cost forgings, utilising its range of forging equipment and combining high calibre technical expertise.

It is committed to high standards and has a quality management system approved to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 and ISO/TS 16949:2002. It also has an environmental management system approved to ISO 14001:2004 as well as a UKAS accredited on-site laboratory.
