Clydesdale Forge has invested in a number of software packages to enable us to achieve this.

3D models of customer parts are created with this software. From the model, working forging drawings are produced for customer approval.

The 3D model data is translated directly into this software, were complex die designs are created.

Using the 3D CAD geometry, all tooling designs are developed with this software before any dies are manufactured. Thus optimising the forging method and material utilisation. This ensures dies are right first time, giving us excellent utilisation of our forging equipment.

The proved geometry is used to create CNC programs with software that is linked to 3 axis vertical machining centres. This has given us repeatability and greatly reduced machining times.
